Franz Walderdorff is a photographer specializing in beauty, fashion, and portrait photography.

Born in Munich, Germany, he studied photography at the Lazi School in Stuttgart before beginning his career in Hamburg, where he worked with renowned photographer Werner Bokelberg and gained experience in advertising, portrait, and beauty photography.

In 1986 Walderdorff moved to New York, assisting photographers including Bruce Weber and Denis Piel before collaborating with Carrie Donovan at The New York Times Magazine.

Throughout his career he has worked with leading designers including Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, and Donna Karan.

His photographs have appeared in publications including Allure, Spanish Vogue, Chinese Vogue, Italian Glamour, British Glamour, and German Glamour.
